Roving Crane and Lifting Gear Specialist

BW Offshore is recruiting a Crane Specialist for the Technical and Maintenance Support team under Engineering department. Employment will be in the Singapore office.

• To provide technical expertise in the field of lifting equipment including cranes, towards improving the overall management
• To ensure the installations are maintained with respect to regulatory and BWO’s requirements
• Competency evaluation for onboard crane operators, lifting gear inspectors and all involved in lifting process
• Procedures preparation and Review for both Routine and Non-Routine Crane and fix/loose lifting Equipment Maintenance and Inspection activities
• While onboard ensure the certifications of lifting gears including crane are up to date
• Provide in house training for the offshore team as and when required
• Carry out audits on lifting gear equipment including cranes on board facilities
• Provide technical support, liaise with specialist contractors, Operations / Maintenance Manager and onboard team for Non-Routine Crane repair(Inclusive but not limited to Engines, Hoses, Semi and Annual inspections, Hydraulics, Controls, Etc.) and fix/loose lifting Equipment. This will entail overseeing and managing the entire process
• Participate in incident investigation
• Provide support for spares Min / Max evaluation
• Review the Incident/Shutdown reports and verify /carry out root cause analysis
• Provide budget requirements in terms of maintenance, long term plan and surveys
• Provide input for New project Bids and variation orders
• Attend FAT / SAT as and when required

• Professionally qualified person with extensive knowledge of lifting operations in the Oil and gas Industry preferably On Board FPSO

• Minimum 5 years working experience in lifting operations preferably stage 3 or equivalent crane operator qualification
• Experience in hydraulic system maintenance
• Experience in directly supervising lifting operations
• Experience in operating lifting equipment
• Experience in writing lifting standards
• Knowledge of PLC is desirable

•Needs to travel to any BW Production facilities
•Needs to support the facilities during outside normal working hours
•Achievement of specified service levels regarding technical support to facilities
