BW Offshore is recruiting a Competency Assessor, 12 months position for the Fleet department. Employment will be in the Singapore office.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Supporting fleet organization in Training & Assessment program to develop specialist skills & multi skilled individuals by ensuring that the BWO Competence Assurance system procedure is in compliant on board all BWO Units. (Training Assessment Methods & Procedure of Competency Assessments for offshore crew).
•Review the Competency Profiles Task List with the on-board Management in accordance with BWO standards, rules and procedures.
•Verify and confirm individual job tasks are in compliant with BWO Competence Assurance requirements and standards and reflects to Competency Profiles Task List table.
•Assist the Unit in the Job Qualification Record Book Assessment process when on board the unit.
•Ensure that candidate’s evidence is relevant, valid, authentic, current and sufficient.
•Identify, plan and manage training needs and learning opportunities using previous experience /gap analysis from the OCS HR and implement an individual training plan to address learning gap.
•Identify high level training and development opportunities for failed assessments. Work to attain expected competency standards.
•Record assessment decisions and prepare audit report in accordance to MS-FR05192 and complete all checklist forms.
•Participate in regular updates /training / career development program activities.
•Support the quality in development and succession of individuals by coaching and mentoring, to meet company's current and future requirements.
•Diagnostic reporting of tasks completed via OCS HR.
•The execution of competency program will take place on board the Unit or Onshore in country of operation, were ever is the most efficient location

•College degree or other relevant education or background
•Relevant experience may compensate formal education
•OPITO approved Competence Assessor Certificate or equivalent
•Ideally more than 10 years in Oil and Gas industry
•Ideally 4 years of experience within the FPSO Offshore industry
•Ideally a minimum of 2 years at a Managerial level
•Ideally 2 years of experience as a Workplace Competence Assessor
•Good interpersonal and communication skills
•Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
•Structured, organized and good attention to detail
•Good general knowledge of the offshore / maritime industry
•Good computer skills and ability to adapt to usage of various Computer based Management and Data systems
•Fluent in English (oral and written)
•The position will require travels to offshore units
