E&P - Reservoir Engineer

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering
  • Working knowledge of production analysis software and reservoir modeling software
  • High degree of proficiency with economic modeling software
  • Fluent Portuguese and English (oral and written)

 

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years' experience with reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry
  • Reservoir engineering, reservoir management and reservoir simulation skills are essential
  • Proven track record in performing and leading technical projects related to reservoir modeling and analysis

 

Responsibilities

  • Able to lead reservoir analysis in support of developmental activity. Recommends development opportunities that monetize the company’s reserve base
  • Possess a full understanding of the link between the engineering reserve estimates and corporate financial modeling to optimize the value of the company’s oil and gas assets
  • Ensures the company’s reservoir engineering department is employing optimum technologies and industry best practices and maximizes the value of the company’s oil and gas assets
  • Maintains an intimate knowledge of industry best practices in the areas of drilling, completions and production; Provides senior management with recommendations for improvements to company practices in these areas
  • Coordinates with the business development on acquisition and divestiture projects. Supports the reservoir engineering evaluation component of Company acquisition
  • Works with the Company’s Asset Management team to create and constantly improve the Company’s long-term development plan (e.g. construction infrastructure, drilling schedule) for major assets
  • Evaluates and initiates exploitation opportunities including new drilling and work-overs to maximize reserves recovery and booking, and overall play economics
  • Works within the subsurface team in performing field and reservoir studies
  • Provides economic evaluations including calculations of estimated reserves, costs and cash flow projections
  • Performs post-well evaluations of projected reserves and production
  • Supports the Company’s year-end reserve evaluation process with third-party reserve auditors
