Financial Analyst, FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis)

BW Offshore builds on four decades of offshore operations and project execution to create tailored offshore energy solutions for evolving global markets. We are currently constructing and preparing operation of a major gas FPSO in North-Western Australia. BW Offshore is also adapting to a rapidly changing world, capturing opportunities that arise in the ongoing global energy transition. As part of that transition, we have invested in, and are developing, floating offshore wind solutions.

As a financial analyst in BW Offshore you will work closely with key decision makers in the company and be a part of a team that is a key contributor to corporate planning and strategy. The successful candidate is analytical, has a strong business sense and good communication skills.

The position will be in the Oslo office at Skøyen and report to the Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Financial forecasting and analysis of new and ongoing FPSO construction projects
• The position may also include financial forecasting and analysis of FPSOs already in operation
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models covering income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and financial return metrics
• Play a key role in annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and variance analysis on a corporate level
• Develop and maintain reports and presentations to share insights, knowledge and findings with management and key stakeholders
• Work closely with Corporate Finance and Treasury for long-term funding/liquidity planning
• Work closely with Investor Relations for financial communication

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or similar
• Relevant experience may replace formal education
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, auditing or similar
• University graduates with the right skillset and attitude are also encouraged to apply

• Good business sense, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain financial data to all levels of the organisation
• Forward-leaning, agile and eager to learn and contribute
• Good work capacity, self-motivated, structured, and reliable

Knowledge

• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel
• Fluent in English (oral and written)
• Experience with Power BI and the use of data cubes is an advantage
