Asset Manager

BW Offshore are looking for an experienced and competent Asset Manager to join the onshore team in Darwin. The successful applicant will play a vital role in overseeing the operational performance and maintenance, of our BW Opal FPSO.

This position will involve occasional travel to other operational offices and offshore assets.  

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage contractual obligations including the active monitoring and control of contractual and commercial issues related to the operation of the Asset, including subcontracts with suppliers,
  • Actively promote local content incorporation into the service delivery
  • Coordinate all activities related to the operation of the Asset and the operations/base office to provide effective and prompt support to the Asset
  • Oversee and manage the operating budget including monitoring and control, continual update and forecasting of planned activities, and implementation of Operation and Maintenance plan in close cooperation with the Asset assigned Support functions.
  • Support the Asset Management Team with the leads of each relevant department as direct reports to ensure the Offshore Management team has the required support.
  • Report key activities, performance indicators and results to Head of Operations.

 Qualifications

  • Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, marine or process engineering or similar education
  • Long relevant experience, ideally including FPSO experience, may replace educational requirements.
